A Legacy of Excellence

Heichal Yosef Yeshiva is a prestigious yeshiva for young students, founded around 20 years ago by Rabbi Baruch Lazarus and a team of Torah scholars in Modiin Illit, a city of Torah. Over the years, the yeshiva has grown and flourished, earning a reputation as one of the leading yeshivot. It now boasts around 300 excellent students, and its alumni are among the finest in large yeshivot and kollelim across the country. Heichal Yosef Yeshiva has become known as one of the most important and prominent yeshivot in the Holy Land.

Leadership and Personal Growth

One of the yeshiva’s core strengths is its leadership under Rabbi Baruch Lazarus, who is known for maintaining a warm and personal connection with each student, as well as with the yeshiva’s alumni over the years. This unique relationship contributes greatly to the personal growth of each student. Additionally, the Torah teachers at the yeshiva are carefully selected by Rabbi Lazarus. Today, the yeshiva has more than twenty Torah scholars who have proven their ability to impart the sacred Torah as handed down by the great rabbis, with a special emphasis on the staff’s dedication to the spiritual advancement of every student.

Growth and Future Vision

Since its establishment, the yeshiva has been housed in a rented building. However, due to the yeshiva’s continuous growth and success, the current space has become too small to accommodate the increasing number of students. Now, the yeshiva has been allocated land for a permanent Beit Midrash and building, which will provide greater comfort both spiritually and physically for the yeshiva and its students. The new Beit Midrash will be built on a high point in the city, visible from afar, as a beacon of Torah and sanctity, in accordance with the Shulchan Aruch’s instruction to build synagogues at the highest point of the city.
